A little farther afield, a male BLACK-BACKED ORIOLE, a Mexican endemic, is
being seen at feeders in the yards of both 20 and 21 Indiana Street in
Sinking Spring, PA. If accepted, this would be a first North American
record! One other bird was seen in southern California years ago, but was
not accepted because of a question of origin.
This bird is accessible, but PLEASE FOLLOW THESE RULES:
1) Visiting hours are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM only.
2) Parking for now is on Indiana Street.
4) Please don’t stand right in front of the house to keep from scaring the
bird away from the feeder by the front window! The bird is shy!
5) Please stay on the sidewalks and don’t enter people’s yards.
6) Respect the neighborhood’s privacy and property.
7) Please sign the Logbook since the homeowners are interested in knowing
who comes to see the bird and where they come from.
Please obey these rules to allow continued cooperation and access and set a
good example for the birding community.
