A BAR-TAILED GODWIT was found on the 31st by Neil Gilbert at upper Upper

San Diego Creek below the Jamboree Street crossing. It was still there as
of today.. The bird has been well photographed. Also in the same general
area a male EURASIAN WIGEON (10/31), and a worn PECTORAL SANDPIPER (11/1).

east side, by amphitheater and north side of "island" area.

intersection of Lakeview and Santiago Canyon.

Added Note: How long will the Godwit stay in Orange County? Let's answer
this by looking at (accepted) records shown in the "Rare Birds of
California" book. Note there are no December records. I chose only records
for October and November.

27 Oct to 30 Nov 1972 Bolinas Lagoon
04 to 27 Nov 1981 Coronado SD
26 Oct to 1 Nov 1992 Bodega Harbor
