The GRACE'S WARBLER, continues at the Bella Vista Open Space in Goleta.
This is the same area where one was last winter.

Look for a GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET in the pine at the south end of Coronado
Drive in Goleta. PLEASE STAY OUT OF THE CREEK. This area is part of the
Coronado Butterfly Preserve.

A RED KNOT continues to be seen in the area between the south end of the
Devereux Slough and Campus Point. Offshore, look for an adult male BLACK
SCOTER around the UCSB Marine Science building. Devereux Slough had a
TROPICAL KINGBIRDS and a female GREATER SCAUP this week. A juvenile
Sandhill Crane was a one-day bird on October 31.

At Lake Los Carneros, a LEWIS'S WOODPECKER and a TROPICAL KINGBIRD were in
the row of pines on the west side of the lake. A RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER was
working eucalyptus trees near the entrance to the train station. An
AMERICAN BITTERN and a COMMON MOORHEN have been seen along the reedy channel
at the north end of the lake, south of the footbridge. Best viewing is from
the small clearing along the paved path.

A CACKLING GOOSE was in the small pond at the Rancho Goleta Mobile Home Park
at the end of Ward Drive. Birders are welcome here as long as they park on
Ward and walk in.

Highlights from Lake Cachuma this week included 26 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS,
7 BALD EAGLES, 23 WOOD DUCKS, 2 HOODED MERGANSERS and 2 CACKLING GEESE.

FERRUGINOUS HAWKS have returned to the Torrey Pine roost tree in Lompoc at
the corner of East Olive and South C Streets

CHESTNUT-COLLARED LONGSPURS were with Horned Larks along Armour Ranch Road
in Santa Ynez.

Pino Alto Picnic area on Figueroa Mountain had GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS and
PYGMY NUTHATCHES.

Good Birding in Santa Barbara County and please post your sightings.
